The Joy of Returning Home

Sunset view from a car window, capturing the golden sky and the peaceful drive home.

I don’t know if you’ve ever felt that sense of hope and anticipation when you finish work or any other social obligation and are on your way home.

It’s that little nest you create. A space for expression. A place of peace. A place where you can be yourself. A space to move freely and rest. That’s how I often feel when I’m heading back home.

And that anticipation makes me more aware of everything around me. It’s as if everything takes on more color, as if a new world unfolds before my eyes.

As I drive home, I notice people, some in a hurry, some smiling, some looking troubled. I see people carrying heavy shopping bags, women pushing strollers, balconies overflowing with flowers, and a sky preparing to welcome the clouds.

What do you see around you? What do you notice on your way home?

As I wrap up today’s blog, I sincerely wish that everyone has a place to call home. I hope there isn't a single person forced to sleep outside.

Below 👇 you’ll find two photos (don’t try this at home, taking pictures while driving!) taken from my car as I was heading back. Nearby, there’s also a beautiful café with a stunning view. That was the first place Mary and I went when we got together. A story for another blog, perhaps 👀😄💕
